About Me

My name is Taylor Vorreiter. I was born in 1997 in San Francisco, CA. I have lived in Windsor, CA. my whole life.  I have gained experience and initially got started with woodworking by my neighbor, who is a professional cabinet maker. Since 2004, I have been interested in woodworking. My business first started off building and selling birdhouses for two years. I then started learning more and upgrading tools every year to do what I am able to do now. I have had my own woodworking business for around 6 years now.
When I envision Taylor's Custom Woodwork & Design, I do not want to be another furniture builder. I want my business to show who I am. I focus on helping the community whenever I can, either by donating my time to help create projects for local schools or businesses, or by donating a portion of sales to organizations or individuals who I feel need it most. With this mindset, I become closer with the community, and by using my passion working with wood, I can also help others at the same time.

Community

Part of my goal for Taylor's Custom Woodwork & Design is to help my community, locally and nationally, by donating my time to create projects for local schools, camps, or organizations, or raising money with personal custom orders to help others in need who I feel is essential to help. With this mindset, I can build a better relationship with the community. I donate 10% of my hourly wage to Environmental Conservation, Enchanted Hills Camp for the Blind and Visually Impaired located in Napa, Ca.; to people who have suffered from natural disasters; and to research for illnesses or people who suffer from severe illnesses.

A couple of donation projects I have done for Enchanted Hills Camp in Napa. I put up 15 hooks in their dining area for people to hang up a few of their belongings, so they are not laying around the dining area. I also built a couple of simple benches for the shower area in one of the bathrooms they have. 2016

I was asked by the director of Enchanted Hills Camp to create custom signs for four hiking trails in the camp. Each sign, has braille under each word on the sign, so it is accessible to both sighted and non - sighted people. I self donated my time and lumber to the camp, and am happy to do so.

The Windsor Garden Club, asked me to build a potting bench, for a auction event held at the Windsor Town Green to be won by a lucky person. 2016

A teacher at Windsor Middle School, asked me to build a cello rack for their music program.  The cello rack holds five cello racks standing up. The lumber was donated by Home Depot, and I donated my time to build it. I was in the Newspaper for my generosity and woodworking talent. I also received a personal "Thank You" from the music class. I was happy to help out.
